WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange arrested in London
Whistleblower website Wikileaks founder Julian Assange gestures as he speaks about the US and the human rights during a press conference at the Geneva press club in Geneva, Switzerland. Assange was arrested Tuesday morning in London on rape charges from Sweden.
Wikileaks founder Assange, a 39-year-old Australian, was arrested by officers from Scotland Yard's extradition unit when he went to a central London police station by prior agreement with the authorities, the police said. A court hearing was expected later.

He agreed to a two-year extension of tax breaks for the wealthiest Americans, in order to get a compromise deal that includes continued tax breaks for all Americans, and additional benefits for long-term jobless.
