WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange arrested in London
Whistleblower website Wikileaks founder Julian Assange gestures as he speaks about the US and the human rights during a press conference at the Geneva press club in Geneva, Switzerland. Assange was arrested Tuesday morning in London on rape charges from Sweden.
Wikileaks founder Assange, a 39-year-old Australian, was arrested by officers from Scotland Yard's extradition unit when he went to a central London police station by prior agreement with the authorities, the police said. A court hearing was expected later.
Nuclear negotiators say talks between Iran and six world powers have ended and a new round is planned early next year in Turkey. Officials say the talks will take place in late January or early February.
